NALA Has Entered the World of Online Learning!
To scale up our workshops on WASH-NTD coordination to more regions in Ethiopia, we have launched a new online learning platform at washntd.org. This course covers content on multi-sectoral advocacy, coordination platforms, joint work, and facilitation and follows the content from the Woreda Level Coordination Toolkit for the WASH and NTD Sectors that NALA published with the Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) in 2019.
This course is self-paced and available via desktop and mobile app, and it includes options to download for offline completion (or when connectivity is low). To practice the material, students answer questions and respond to scenarios that feature characters who encounter challenges relevant to each section At the completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion endorsed by the Ethiopian FMoH.
COVID-19 has energized the push for online learning as a way to safely train people and deliver content. While NALA still plans to hold in-person workshops when it is safe to do so, online courses enable us to reach exponentially more people, especially in locations at a distance from our main operations. Moreover, e-courses are an important growth area in Ethiopia as the country becomes more connected. We are excited to be a part of the e-learning revolution.
