Jemal Ali Mahdi

Jemal Ali Mahdi, a Medical Microbiologist, has worked as a lecturer in the Department of Microbiology Immunology and Parasitology, University of Gondar, Ethiopia. 


Currently he is a PhD student (under the supervising of Prof. Zvi Bentwich) in the Department of Microbiology Immunology and Genetics, Ben-Gurion University, Israel; working on Molecular Microbiology and Immunology focused on infectious diseases and the microbiome.


In the past, Jemal also served as NALA coordinator in Ethiopia and since the inception of his PhD studies in Israel he is mainly involved in the research and M&E aspects of the NALA project in Ethiopia.
