Hagos holds a Master of Public Health from Mekelle University, Ethiopia and a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health Science from Haramaya University, Ethiopia. 

He has more than 10 years working experiences in the area of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), SBCC, and Health Promotion and Diseases Prevention Programs in different Governmental Health Bureaus, as well as in Local and International NGOs. He received a reward from Tigray Regional Health Bureau in Collaboration with UNICEF for his achievements on helping local communities to be declared Open Defecation Free Villages and districts in the first time in the region.
