Amir Sabhat, CPA

Director

Amir is co-founder of JerWay Impact Investments and Senior Research Fellow at the Neaman Institute for National Policy Research. He gained valuable experience on the African healthcare arena as senior consultant to Healthcare Israel, the G2G Health Cooperation Directorate at Israel Ministry of Health, and previous roles as Director of Finance and Business Development Africa region in a leading Biomedical and Digital health Companies from Israel.


Before that, Amir spent 8 years as accountant and senior manager at EY Israel (Ernst & Young) the largest professional services networks in Israel, provides financial audit, tax, consulting and advisory services to his clients in the Hi-Tech department. He won EY Israel 2013 Excellence Award. In parallel to his role as CPA, he has been a member of the "President’s Young Forum" that aims to serve as unceremonious connection between the public and the President of Israel. He is a Board member of the Tel Aviv Economic Development Authority Ltd, and Board member of NGO's for diversity and inclusion including Co-Impact, Olim Beyahad and PresenTense. 


Following his professional achievement that combines positive social Impact, he was selected in 2012 as one of 40 promising talents in Israel under age of 40 by The Marker Economic magazine. Amir joined NALA in January 2019 with intent to harness his experience of creating value in strategical, operational and organizational turnarounds, support and direct NALA's high-performing and fast growth activity in Ethiopia. 

Amir holds an MBA in financial management from Tel Aviv University, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business management from the College of Management Academic Studies. He graduated Harvard Business School (HBS) Executive Training of Maoz fellowship program.
